I think it is important to note the present tense of wordage I am using. Most people will say "I will thrive" signalling that they are optimistic to get out of whatever negative situation they are in however "I will" gives you the option to delay your actions. I am choosing to say "I AM thriving." For me, saying that "I Am" doing something does not give me a choice or the option to procrastinate or delay the action at hand.
I have been through alot. You already read some of that. I've changed cities and locations within different cities multiple times. I have had many jobs, gained and lost many friends. I have been a very busy 20 something year old.
The most relevant point here is that I have had many, many people tell me "No", "You aren't good enough", "you don't belong here", "Your under-qualified", "Your over-qualified", "you don't make enough money", "you aren't pretty enough". I have been beat down, stabbed, punched, thrown around (all theoretically references mind you) way more than any human being should ever be in only 8 years time.
Guess what?.... I Am Thriving! That is right, I Am Thriving!
I have accomplished SOO much in 8yrs its crazy! I would not have survived all the beat downs without the mentality of "I Am Thriving". I would also tell myself "I will do this", "I can do this".
The whole bases around this mentality is that no one, not a single damn person can ever stop you or me from achieving whatever it is you want to achieve (so long as it is legal haha). I am proof and still living proof that no one can stop you from achieving your dreams so long as you don't let them.
I was told a while back that I would not make a good veterinary technician. I didn't have the people skills or overall ability to become one. The person that told me this just so happened to of had my educational destiny in their hands at that moment. No more! It was then and through that dark time that I chose to never, ever, without a doubt ever let anyone tell me what I can or can't do. I choose that. You should choose what you do as well!
Despite what I was told, I went on and continued my education and received my degree in Veterinary Technology (as you can read in my Bio). I believed deep down that this was something I wanted to do and by golly I was going to be good at it as well!
I know I am not the only one here on this world that has had people tell them "no" and I know that you and I will not being hearing that little word just once. So what do we do about it? Glad you asked, I sure do have a suggestion for you here. My suggestion here is to adopt a "I Am Thriving" mentality. You will thrive, grow and conquer whatever it is you wish no matter what anyone says.
Most importantly, what I want all of you to know is that when you are at your utmost low in life and it seems everyone around you is beating you up, holding you down and saying you can't...well yes you can. Hold onto your dreams...I'll say it again...Hold on to your dreams because you are thriving! You are thriving into greatness and all the negative you are receiving is your fertilizer to fuel your growth.
That's all for now folks, keep thriving everyone.
